Restaurante Fado in Ober-Olm

Like a little trip to Portugal! Super delicious Portuguese cuisine, in a wonderful and warm atmosphere. Fish and meat dishes as well as Portuguese tapas are all fantastic and top quality. We miss the beautiful restaurant evenings and the Fado evenings and can hardly wait for them to hopefully move into the Fado restaurant again in 2021.

We were there yesterday evening (October 22nd, 2020) for 4 and loved it! The ambience is super pleasant, the service was so friendly and the Portuguese food was delicious! We would love to come back again :)

Portugal in Ober-Olm! We had a great culinary evening in the Fado restaurant. Starting with an ambience that lets you immerse yourself in the Portuguese world. We had various tapas to start with, and the main course was an incredible greeting from the world of Neptune. This fish platter for 2 is second to none. In a class of its own in terms of taste and appearance. Actually we were already more than full, but there had to be a little sin from the dessert menu. DELICIOUS ! Very fair prices and a really friendly and always eager staff rounded off this perfect evening. We have already seen the whole thing as a 3 hour vacation from everyday life. We'll be back for sure, and will recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience.

The environment the workers and service are fantastic! Everyone is so nice! The food it’s amazing and I didn’t had to wait much time for the food! I highly recommend it!

Seriously, I don't know where to start to describe the experience we had here. Five stars doesn't do it justice. The food was freshly prepared with love and all the right ingredients, the service staff were super friendly and the chef stopped by and asked us how we would like our food prepared and ready at least three times. The attention to detail could be seen from the starter all the way through dessert. A fantastic experience!

Went there for the first time on the recommendation, it will not have been the last time. Good menu card, adequate selection, especially not too much. The dishes were very good, at a good price / performance ratio. Not to forget the very friendly staff. Thumbs up and keep it up :-)

The food was fantastic; the fish fresh and incredibly delicious; every dish that passed us looked heavenly and smelled just as good; the staff friendly and courteous; the ambience was beautiful, we felt like we were in Portugal. It was our first time in the Fado restaurant, but certainly not the last time. We will be back definitely!

Very pleasant, cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately we have been forgotten something which was not so bad, there is enough to look at. Appetizers very authentic and delicious. Paella with a lot of seafood but unfortunately very tasteless. However, the other dishes at the neighboring tables looked very interesting, we will come back. Beverage selection ok. Adjusted in price. Staff very nice.

Lovely Portuguese restaurant with very friendly hosts! Second time we stopped by and looking forward to our next stop ? Unfortunately no outside terrace, at least not that I have noticed - but nice table for two directly at a large window

For me the best Portuguese restaurant in the Mainz area. Friendly staff who asked several times whether everything was okay. Both the tapas, the handmade French fries and the main courses are very tasty and their spices have remained original (not Germanized). The portions are large and the prices perfectly justified. It is recommended for two to share at most one tapas and one dessert, otherwise the main courses will be tight ? I can recommend this nice Portuguese family and their restaurant and would be happy to come back.

I used to live in OberOlm and this was our most favorite restaurant. We loved the sampler plate. So good.
